Over the years, Rey has worked consistently with pencil and his subjects are mostly contemporary structures. Rey is drawn to light and shadow, reflections on glass buildings and anything with strong composition in an abstract sort of way.
One sunny morning, as Rey was admiring his assortment of art deco bottles and vases on his window sill, a piece of stained glass and its suction cup slid down the window and in behind the collection.
This was the inspiration that lead to an amazing compilation of Rey’s artwork!
Pastel’s versatility and the vivid colours allow for Rey’s glass renderings to sparkle like gems. Friends and admirers have loaned their personal collections as inspirational props to ensure
Rey’s work continues to grow.
